Continuing with the Mission formulated by our founder, Mr. Pedro Scherer, the PINDÓ ECO-ENERGÍA project, since 2016 completes the circle of sustainable use.

We base our business on nature and with a deep respect for what it provides, adding value from the nursery to the industrialization of products and total final disposal of its by-products. The non-usable derivatives of sawing are used for the generation of heat energy (necessary for drying wood and yerba mate), and electrical energy used in all industrial processes of the company.

The produced ashes – of great mineral load – are used as compost and fertilizers in the Forest Nursery and plantations of the company while the surplus of Energy is commercialized to the National Network thus contributing to the diversification of the energy matrix of the country. In this way, the carbon footprint generated by PINDÓ is mitigated practically in its entirety.
